Addressing Cameroon's Members of Parliament a couple of days ago, Cameroon's new minister of Transportation, Mr Alain Mebe laid down some solutions for the ailing airlines.
He said there will not be further injection of cash from the gov't of Cameroon to Camair-co till a complete audit has been done.
In this regard, Boeing Consulting has been retained to do a comprehensive audit of the airlines.
Camairco's debt outstanding stands today at 30 Billion FCFA ($60 Million). A restructuring plan is in place to make and an injection over 30 Billions FCFA.
Once the audit is done? The Minister said 6 planes will be procured to increased Camair-ca's competitiveness.
